Results, October 26: the Forever Open is over. Per Wowhead, the winner was Warlockguy, a Warlock, and the second-place player was also a Warlock. Across the level 30 beta tournament Warlock had a 79% win rate, while Mage (25%) and Warrior (27%) had the lowest. These are beta numbers from a community event, not launch balance.
The Forever Open is a $100,000 WoW: Forever dueling tournament organised by Tipsout on October 17–18, 2026, with about 6,000 participants. Xaryu and Esfand streamed it. For the second day, Blizzard opened an official dueling arena in Hyjal Crater, with NPCs that sell soul shards and reagents so duelists don't have to farm between rounds.

Details that have not been published in anything we can confirm are left out on purpose: the bracket format, how the prize money is split, the level and gear rules, and the exact stream schedule. Tipsout and the two streamers' channels are where those will show up first.

Xaryu and Esfand broadcast the tournament on their channels. Day one, October 17, worked through a field of roughly 6,000 players. Day two, October 18, moved to the Hyjal Crater arena for the later rounds.
What is the Hyjal Crater dueling arena?
It was an official arena that Blizzard opened for the tournament's second day. The NPCs there sold soul shards and reagents. That matters for classes whose spells use up materials: a Warlock doesn't have to grind shards between duels, and nobody gets knocked out because they ran out of reagents halfway through a bracket. Blizzard hasn't said whether the arena will stay open after the event.
Can I still sign up?
Registration was run by Tipsout, not Blizzard, and with about 6,000 entrants the event finished on October 18. If you want to know about late spots or future events, ask Tipsout directly. Don't trust any third party claiming it can get you in.
Why a dueling tournament before WoW: Forever launches?
Forever launches on November 4, 2026, at 3 p.m. Pacific, and the beta closed on October 23. The tournament landed in the last days of the beta, when every class has been reworked: new talents, a 16-point milestone, and changes like Paladin Seal of Fury, Mage Frost Blast and the Hunter's 0.5-second stand-still before Auto Shot. Duels are the quickest way to see how those changes hold up against real players. For context, Forever has no Rated PvP and no announced arenas. Its PvP runs on a 14-rank Honor track and battlegrounds such as the new Darkspear Islands.
If you'd rather spend the weekend watching duels than grinding levels, PewPewShop's vetted human players can help you get ready for launch through coaching and play-together sessions. Forever leveling for the November 4 launch is in the catalog, played by humans with no bots and no cheats.
