In WoW: Forever, Enhancement Shaman uses two-handed weapons only. Blizzard's short spec preview names its tools: Maelstrom Weapon makes Lightning Bolt faster to cast and cheaper in mana, Rage of the Farseer is a 3-minute cooldown that raises attack speed, Mental Quickness turns Intellect into spell damage and healing, and the spec brings Windfury Totem to the group.

Why is Enhancement two-handers only in Forever?

Blizzard has given the spec a clear identity: big, slow two-handers combined with lightning. Maelstrom Weapon makes Lightning Bolt quicker and cheaper, so a bolt can fit between swings instead of a full-length cast. If you liked dual-wield Enhancement in later expansions, Blizzard hasn't announced it for Forever.

How does Maelstrom Weapon work in WoW: Forever?

Blizzard has confirmed only that it shortens Lightning Bolt's cast time and lowers its mana cost. Picture a melee rotation broken up by quick bolts, not a caster who sometimes swings. Blizzard hasn't published how many stacks it holds or how it triggers. Treat any exact figures you see online as guesses until Blizzard posts the full Shaman tree.

What do Rage of the Farseer and Mental Quickness add?

Rage of the Farseer is your big burst button: a 3-minute cooldown that speeds up your attacks. Early beta versions also boosted casting speed, but Blizzard removed that in the September 24 notes, so it's now a melee-only cooldown. Mental Quickness gives Intellect a real job, because it converts that stat into spell damage and healing. Intellect gear now boosts your bolts and emergency heals.

Which race is best for Enhancement Shaman?

Look at the racials that changed. Orc Axe Specialization now gives critical strike chance, which suits two-handed axes. Dwarf Mace Specialization gives crit chance on all spells and abilities while you have a mace equipped, and that includes two-handed maces. Horde Skyborne get Wind Blessed (+1% haste) and Elemental Insight (+5% damage to Elementals). Also note that in Forever, hit and crit are each a single stat across melee and spells, which helps a hybrid like Enhancement.
