Cutting Edge is the one raiding feat that expires: the final boss on Mythic while the tier is still current. A carry seats you in an established Mythic roster for the kill — the part that normally costs months of roster politics and progression wipes. If the achievement is the goal, order while the tier is live; that deadline is the whole point of the feat.

Yes. Choose the difficulty, then a full clear, the last boss only, or a chosen set of bosses. If you are after one specific drop, set the loot priority so the run targets it.
When is the best time to book a raid clear?
Close to your weekly reset, so you bank the loot before the lockout resets and keep the next reset free for another run.
